We develop biomaterials with an impact on the Amazon
We develop circular economy biomaterials that help preserve the Amazon rainforest and empower native communities for brands, fashion designers, and organizations seeking to connect with the growing responsible consumption market and generate real, traceable change for the planet and its people.
Shiringa Bioleather
The shiringa is a tree that grows wild in the Amazon rainforest and contains a liquid called latex. When extracted using traditional and sustainable methods, without cutting down the trees, it is converted into a resistant, soft, and flexible bioleder that meets the technical characteristics of the fashion industry.
Preservation of the Amazon
The Amazon is a wonderful place, but 150,398 hectares of forest are deforested every year in Peru alone. Faced with this problem, we saw an alternative: SHIRINGA BIOCUERO. A new material that helps native families generate income and preserve the Amazon.
Want to know how to preserve forests through fashion?
Social impact
73.4% of the native communities in the Peruvian rainforest live in poverty. The sustainable harvesting of shiringa to design SHIRINGA BIOCUERO enables these families to earn an income and improve their quality of life, while caring for their forest.

UWATEX.
A bio-leather made from grape skins.
Did you know that the pisco and wine industry in Peru generates around 28,000 tons of grape waste per year? Introducing UWATEX, a biotextile designed using grape skins from the wine industry. Resistant, vegan, and circular economy. A more environmentally friendly alternative to 100% synthetic leather and animal leather.
"Our proposal stems from a search for identity through materiality, to tell our story and our present through new values and aesthetic and tactile experiences. Our biomaterials proposal uses fibers, wild resins, minerals, biopolymers, food and agricultural waste to create a new design based on biotechnology, the circular economy, ancestral knowledge, and green chemistry."
— Jorge Cajacuri / Founder
“A material not only has a physical and functional dimension, but also represents identity, aesthetics, sensations, and emotions.”
